The holiday season was not so joyful for scores of MAXJet passengers who were stranded at airports when the airline ceased operations. MAXjet declared bankruptcy citing high fuel cost and low passenger loads which in turn left their planes and passengers stranded on the tarmac. MAXjet is a US based; all business class airline operating a fleet of Boeing 767s. In contrast, the British airline Sliverjet, which also operates all business class flights between London and New York (EWR) on a 767, is doing fairly well.
